Meet Andrew Mills
Hi, I’m Andrew Mills, a certified welding engineer and the founder of Metalcraft Solutions. With over 18 years of experience in the welding industry, I’ve dedicated my career to mastering the art and science of welding. My journey began at the Colorado School of Trades, where I earned my degree in Welding Engineering Technology. From there, I became a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) through the American Welding Society (AWS), which opened doors to exciting opportunities in the field.
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the sparks and precision of welding, but it wasn’t until I worked on large-scale industrial projects that I truly fell in love with the craft. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, Stick, and Plasma welding, while working with industry leaders like General Electric and Lockheed Martin.
A Welder’s Vision
In 2015, I decided to channel my passion into something bigger. I founded Mills Metalcraft Solutions, a state-of-the-art welding workshop equipped with cutting-edge technology and a team of skilled professionals. What started as a small operation in a garage has now grown into a 2,500 sq. ft. facility where we tackle complex fabrication projects, train aspiring welders, and rigorously test welding equipment.
One of my core missions is to ensure that welders have access to the best gear and knowledge to protect themselves and excel in their craft. That’s why I launched WeldingZilla.com—a platform designed to provide honest, expert-driven reviews and resources for welding enthusiasts of all levels.
